Bangladesh

I just got back from a mission trip from Bangladesh with my church and a team from Jeonju Vision College. it was a short 10 day trip that started with a 13 hour flight to Seoul then a 6 hour flight to Singapore then another 6 hour flight to Bangladesh then finally a 3 hour bus ride til i got to finally put my travel gear down and rest! by the time we arrived it was already night fall so we just had service, ate and knocked out! i thought all the hard traveling was over until i woke up and found out that we were gonna ride a bus for another 10 hours plus a quick trip on the boat to cross a river. Planes i can handle cause they have movies and games but buses are full of mosquitos and the smell of gasoline makes me sick so i suffered quite a bit. We finally got to the school in a small village (which of course i forgot the name) and were greeted by some of the locals, they were all so friendly i know im gonna miss that when i get back home. majority of the time the Jeonju Vision team did ALL the work, they had their worship dance, games, activities, puppet shows and everything planned out. i couldnt help but to feel alittle useless. The head pastor of the school/church (Pastor Mondal) was a super soccer fanatic! Bangladesh is majority Muslim and Hindu and they arent very friendly to Christians. Because people in Bangladesh like soccer so much pastor Mondal holds local soccer games in these Muslim and Hindu towns that attract a big crowd. So right before our game we passed out cards and information about Christ and the people were so happy to receive them. so i played our game and finished and on the way home it hit me. BAM! in the beginning of this mission trip i was starting to wonder why God even wanted me on this trip if all i was gonna do is take pictures and sleep but then i realized it was soccer. of course anyone can come and play soccer, no biggie but the way people received me there i felt like a superstar not trying to sound conceited at all because i know its only through Christ that i could have been so blessed. i realized how great our God really is, that he can use the smallest things like english, dance and even soccer to evangelize to his people. God works in mysterious ways my friends! the rest of the trip was good we all kind of got sick toward the end but God protected us from any serious hardship.
now im in korea with my uncle and cousins, its the first time i ever met them so its a good experience. tomorrow im going to Sarrang Community church to go see my old pastor (pastor Doug) and after im gonna go down to Jeonju to see some of the friends from the mission trip! i cant wait to come home though, i feel like its been so long since ive slept in my own bed, driven my crappy car, seen all my homies and most of all, eaten some bomb ass street tacos! haha i miss you all and hopefully i'll see you soon!

+ill update some pictures and on other little things that happened on the trip but for now im out! since im considered a "fob" here .... V^^ laters!
