Surfs Down?

saturday i went to sunset beach to ride some waves and test out my camera. i checked surf forecast on www.surfline.com but they kept saying conditions were poor, 1-2ft waves. i thought aw what the hell maybe ill just go and catch me a 2footer... wrong. when we got to the beach the waves were ridiculously small and all breaking way too late (close to shore), i think i can make bigger waves in my tub. either way we got out and surfed for only like an hour and a half. the weather wasnt too bad, i think it was about 63ish but my new wetsuit kept me warm. as for my camera its aiite. some weird light streaks when i do video but overall its not bad. heres some samples

The Next 127 Days Potter gets Tangled

The Next Three Days with Russell Crowe. the trailer looked really good for this movie so i went to go watch it. i think the trailer itself was more entertaining than the actual movie!
imdb C

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 1 this movie was basically just a filler. i think they wanted to milk their last movie cause this one had no action/fighting. i think the best scene in this movie is probably when Ron starts talking about the light going through his chest! the hanger at the end has me super excited to see part 2. i love emma watson, i wish she didnt KILL her hair.
imdb B-

127 Hours with James Franco. this movie was surprisingly good. i went in with super low expectations and came out pretty entertained. Its pretty mush just him...alone.. for the whole movie but its better than it sounds. kind of intense
imdb B-

Tangled, yes i watched Tangled but to be fair the preview looked good and it was with good company so it wasnt that bad. but the movie itself was a let down. lets just say im not a big fan of short hair

T-DAY!

the best thing about thanksgiving is seeing your family and friends... OH! and black friday shopping!
thanksgiving morning met up with my friends in Old Town Pasadena, nothing was open so we just walk around until we found this place called Jake's this place is like alot like The Counter, you guys should check it out. i pass by it all the time but its really worth stopping by.

then i had dinner at my aunts place and met up with my cousins. i love my family, so thankful for each individual in my family. after feasting we went over to my other cousins house were we played pingpong and (they) played poker all night. pot was $140 but i didnt get in on any of that action cause some of my cousins are SHARKS! just steal my money but all in all thanksgiving was great. and i cant wait for christmas... if only i had a girlfriend... haha

Christians, Where are you?

so today was like any other wednesday, had class and was walking through the quad at PCC when i see a large group of people. they usually have clubs and booths in the quad but this was different so i started walking closer. when i got alittle closer i see an older lady standing with a sign that had Jesus and a heart (i dont remember exactly what it was). but thats not what was getting everyones attention. it was the guy standing next to her with a huge sign with a passage from Leviticus (i forgot which one) but he was standing there in the middle of this crowd. I wish i could say it was miraculous and people were coming to Christ on the spot but they werent, in fact they were doing the complete opposite. People were very bluntly yelling in his face screaming at him telling him all Christians are fascists and just straight up attacking him. so here i was standing there watching a fellow brother in Christ getting persecuted and attacked from my fellow peers. i wanted so bad to go up next to him and stand firm for what we believed but i couldnt. i knew i should have, i felt the Holy Spirit calling me to do it but i couldnt, i chickened out and just put my head down and walked away. then i started looking around at everyone else and began to think. if Christianity is one of (if not the biggest) religion in the world, where are my fellow brothers and sisters? do we only appear on sundays or in private "safe" areas where we wont get judged? why is it that if theres a Christian group having a fundraiser or just giving away free WWJD bracelets we have no problem going there and getting one (but of course were always cautious about whos watching you just incase they might judge you) but what about situations like this. where one brother is getting persecuted, judged and just being torn up by our peers, why do WE christians just put our heads down in shame and walk away or turn our ipods up and pretend like we didnt notice the mob of people gathering around a brother in need. Our society has changed, undoubtedly, but did our love for Jesus change? do we love Jesus as much as his followers did back in the day? Why do we hide our love for Jesus and only express them when we are alone or at Church. This entry is not directed at anyone but myself and the relationship im living with God but if anyone else is in my situation i think we should really consider who were living for. So lets try to be like Apostle Paul and be bold and share the Love.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

"I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY HANDS!"

... thats a quote from PAPER MAN (imdb)
Tim recommended this movie to me because i told him about my Emma Stone obsession!
This movie was quite interesting.. i really liked it but at the same time it kind of felt perverse (...their relationship) i think even if Emma Stone wasnt in the movie i would have liked it. its funny its sad and everything in between. you guys should check it out

Some dude in SF is freaking Genius!
he hand makes belts out of used bike tires.
the sites called RETIREDBELTS.COM (re-tired get it?)
i was really considering buying one until i saw it was freaking $25 for a used up tire... then my light went off!
i got some dead tires hanging on my wall why not make it!?
so i did, not a belt cause thats already been done but a key chain!
yeah its less cool but i think its still pretty dope!

longlivetheKING?

if any of you guys follow basketball you probably know what happened to LeBron James.
for those of you who dont, he pretty much left his team in Cleveland to come to Miami.
so to no surprise the Cleveland fans are super pissed and so are alot of other people calling him traitor, quitter, things like that.
well he made this Nike commercial after he made that decision to move.
if you havent seen it yet you should watch that.
then watch this response from the people to the king..

Due Date

Last night i went out with a couple of my friends to go watch Due Date with Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifinakis.
The movie was hilarious, and zach is very Alan like (from the hangover). it was funny but at the same time kind of deep.
i wouldnt say its Hangover funny but its a great movie for some cheap laughs. go check it out!

saw this in the parking lot of LA LIVE, i just had to share it
